Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Delivery or related field preferred; CAC-endorsed forensic interviewing training a plus (required once employed); proficiency in Word, Excel and web-based databases; ability to interface with key community stakeholders; ability to handle highly sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality. Organizational Relationships and General Description: Reports to Assistant Program Coordinator (APC); provides direct forensic interview services; maintains after-hours on-call system; interfaces with service providers; interacts with TCYS staff. Key Responsibilities: Conducts forensic interviews of children and developmentally delayed adults; assists stakeholders with scheduling and coordination; stays current on interviewing techniques; participates in peer reviews; staffs cases and prepares for expert testimony; interfaces with DFCS and law enforcement. Coordinates victim outreach services: develops resource guides; greets consumers and explains victims’ rights; conducts caregiver intake; maintains confidential documentation; coordinates victim intake procedures; serves as point of contact for stakeholders and families; assists with paperwork through judicial process; conducts follow-up status checks; distributes psychoeducational materials; conducts caregiver needs assessments. Provides medical accompaniment during sexual assault exams and handles scheduling/notifications. Serves as primary records custodian: prepares copies, executes evidence release forms per chain of custody, maintains files, gathers client feedback. Assists clients through final case disposition; maintains contact with Victim Witness office; provides court accompaniment; represents Forensic Interviewing on MDT case reviews; attends meetings and reports case status.
