QualificationsA. M.S.W./M.A./M.S./M.H.S./M.Ed/M.F.T. Degree with a major in the field of Human Services; NBCC or LPC preferred. Must obtain license within three (3) years of hire.B. One (1) year or more directly related experience with children/adolescents/families in a clinical setting.C. Solution-focused and crisis intervention skills a must.D. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.Organizational RelationshipsA. Works under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator.B. Maintains ongoing training and continuing education credits.C. Attends all agency-wide in-service training requirements.D. Helps train Volunteers & Interns.Description of Key ResponsibilitiesA. Provides solution-focused psycho-educational support services (BASIC body safety and education strategies) for children/adolescents as assigned.- Conducts initial intake assessment; applies knowledge of trauma and TF-CBT; provides crisis counseling; caregiver education; increases caregiver coping skills; coordinates with Victim Advocate; maintains client-conducive schedule.B. Facilitates community-based activities, MDT stakeholder education and victim outreach services.- Participates in community awareness events; educates stakeholders on trauma impact; conducts seminars; provides community/stakeholder education; promotes teamwork.C. Maintains required confidential documentation.- Keeps case files/progress notes; updates case tracking; participates in staff/MDT meetings; provides updates to DFCS/Law Enforcement; stays current with research; manages HIPAA/consents; follows up with caregivers on resources.D. Facilitates groups and family support as requested.- Facilitates trauma-informed support groups; individual/multi-family/family sessions; ensures treatment plans are followed.E.
