Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two years’ experience in a social services field.- Prior case management and child welfare preferred.- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours.- Knowledge of community resources and ability to make individualized referrals.- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team using a trauma-informed approach.- Knowledge of the psychological and emotional forces affecting survivors of abuse/neglect.Organizational Relationships and General Description- Reports to Program Coordinator and Lead Clinical Therapist/Outreach Specialist; interfaces with providers within judicial circuit; participates in on-call rotations; manages day-to-day activities of Victim Advocacy and Outreach Programs; interacts with all TCYS staff.Description of Key Responsibilities- Coordinates victim outreach services for child victims of suspected sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and teen dating violence.- Greets consumers, explains/protects victim’s rights, maintains confidential documentation.- Coordinates victim intake procedures; assists with paperwork for law enforcement/prosecution to ensure advocacy through judicial process.- Refers to Victim Assistance Program for linkage and court transition; works closely with child welfare stakeholders.- Enters all victim/case status data into Collaborate Case Tracking and tracks cases through final disposition; coordinates mental health counseling referrals for victims and/or non-offending caregivers.- Schedules sexual assault exams; notifies relevant parties; provides medical accompaniment throughout the process.- Provides follow-up case management; liaison between victim/family and agencies; organizes support groups; provides psychoeducation on trauma, sexual assault, TDV, and DV; maintains accurate files and outcomes; ongoing case management through investigation/prosecution.- Participates in ongoing Advocacy Program development: administers client satisfaction surveys; maintains Community Resource Guide; seeks new referral sources; completes required advocacy trainings per NCA/CACGA standards.- Serves in MDT case review process representing Victim Advocacy: represents concerns of victim/NOC; collaborates with Victim Witness Program; maintains relationships with partners; works with CAC interdisciplinary team on safety goals, intervention effectiveness, and progress; participates in Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit Team Case Reviews and CACGA statewide CSEC MDT Case Review.- Provides Victim Outreach Services & Community Education: co-facilitates Protect Your Crown program; conducts presentations (Erin’s Law, TDV & Stalking, Healthy Relationships/Boundaries, DV Awareness); maintains school/agency partnerships.
