The opportunity:

We are seeking an Analyst, IT Business Systems, for the Digital Manufacturing Solutions Team who will own digital products for our Maintenance and Reliability business partners.

The Digital Manufacturing Solutions Analyst, IT Business Systems is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of business needs within their digital products. The Analyst, IT Business Systems, represents the interests of all stakeholders, sponsors, and business product managers. He / She ensures that the delivered Epics meet the user’s needs. The Analyst, IT Business Systems, is responsible for communicating impact and value of the capability delivered.

The Analyst, IT Business Systems works closely with Scrum teams to define and prioritize items in the product backlogs, ensuring that the team has a clear understanding of what needs to be delivered and in what order. The Analyst, IT Business Systems attends Sprint reviews and demos to provide feedback on the work that has been completed and to guide the team on future development efforts. The Analyst, IT Business Systems, is available to answer questions and provide clarification to the Scrum team during Sprint planning and daily stand-ups, ensuring that the team has the information they need to deliver high-quality work. The Analyst, IT Business Systems, is responsible for communicating the product vision and goals to the Scrum team, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives. The Analyst, IT Business Systems monitors the Scrum team's progress and provides feedback to ensure that the work being done is aligned with the product vision and goals.

How you will impact WestRock:

The Analyst, IT Business Systems is responsible for:

  • Vision and Strategy: Defining and communicating the product vision and strategy to all stakeholders.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring that the team always works on the most valuable features.
  • Iteration Planning: Planning iterations and releases and collaborating with the team to define the scope of work for each iteration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements and feedback.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with the development team to ensure they understand the requirements and deliver the right product increments.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyzing product performance and user feedback to inform future development.

What you need to succeed:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 – 6 years in product development, project management, or a similar role within the IT industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and a good understanding of software development and project management tools.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand and align the product with the company's business goals and customer needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the development team and ensure that product goals are met.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems, analyze potential solutions, and make decisive decisions to resolve issues.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
