We are undertaking an exciting integration program which will set the foundation for our success, and an opportunity exists to join the IT Solutions – Platforms Management team as Manager, Platforms Management.

About the role

The Manager, Platforms Management oversees the development, maintenance, and technical optimization of the platforms that are in scope of the OSP team. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring uptimes, stability, engineering, security, and compliance.

This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, including functional product owners to ensure each platform meets business requirements and delivers measurable value.

Your accountability

  • Develop and execute the roadmap for the platforms in scope to support business objectives.
  • Ensure the platforms meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead and mentor the team members (developers, business analysts, platform administrators).
  • Ensure platforms adhere to (security) standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams as needed.
  • Manage staffing, performance reviews, and team development.
  • Ensure smooth execution of changes, releases, and deployments.
  • Oversee platform integrations with other systems.
  • Work closely with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into platform capabilities.
  • Communicate platform performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
  • Maintain documentation (e.g. designs, configurations, specifications).
  • Engage vendors and partners to assess and enhance

Role in organization

The role holder works as member of the Platforms Management unit and reports to the Director of Platforms Management. This person will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role may require occasional after-hours work to address out-of-office-hour activities. The individual must be comfortable [JG2] working in a collaborative team setting across multiple time zones and cultures. Be able to handle high-pressure situations with a calm and methodical approach. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing a team with IT professionals, ideally within an enterprise organization.
  • Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Analytical and solution focused mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Business English both written and verbal.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with risk management, defect management, and reporting.
  • Understanding of test methodologies and automation frameworks.
