PRIMARY FUNCTION: The job of Teacher JROTC was established for the purpose/s of facilitating student success in academic and interpersonal skills through JROTC and District approved curriculum... provides leadership and coordination within a particular curriculum and serves as part of the leadership team. This position will be an 11-month employee, compensation calculated using the JROTC MIP for 11-months. REQUIREMENTS: 1) Educational Level: Bachelor Degree or higher. 2) Certification/License: Must be certified by US Army Cadet Command with a Pre-qualification Memorandum; must pass the GACE Fundamentals of the Science of Reading/Literacy Assessment for Georgia educator certification within the first three years; DD214. 3) Experience/Eligibility: Minimum 10 years of service or retired in the grades 03–06 or W01–CW5 with no more than five (5) years of separation; honorable discharge. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance; serves as JROTC Department Head; plans and executes JPA; adapts classroom work; analyzes data; develops a positive learning environment; administers assessments; advises parents; collaborates with staff; coordinates activities (e.g., rifle/drill competitions); supervises Army Instructors; and other related duties.
