This position is for the 2025-26 Remainder of the School Year. Teacher - Science (Grades 6-8). QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Certified Exempt. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Participate in curriculum review and design. 2. Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives. 3. Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress. 4. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. 5. Plan a program of study that meets individual needs. 6. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning. 7. Assess accomplishments and provide reports. 8. Refer students for alternative services. 9. Implement district initiatives. 10. Collaborate with department and grade level teachers. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Abide by policies; attend meetings; protect students/equipment; maintain records; serve on committees; remain current on instructional practices; other duties as assigned.
