High School PE Teacher 2025-26 School Year. QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Exempt-Certified. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Plan, organize and deliver lessons consistent with the physical education curriculum for grades 6–12; demonstrate leadership and communication skills; diagnose/evaluate student abilities; monitor progress and adjust instruction; plan programs meeting individual needs; create conducive classroom environment; assess accomplishments and provide reports; refer students for alternative services; implement district initiatives; collaborate with department and grade level teachers; Certification in, or eligibility for, Health and Physical Education (6-12). OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Abide by policies; attend meetings; protect students/equipment; maintain records; serve on committees; remain current on instructional practices; other duties as assigned.
