HS Social Studies Teacher 2026-27 School Year. QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Certified Exempt. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include curriculum review and design; implementing effective instructional strategies; diagnosing and evaluating student abilities and progress; monitoring progress and adjusting instruction; planning a program of study to meet individual needs; creating a learning-conducive classroom; assessing student accomplishments and providing reports; referring students for alternative services; implementing district initiatives; collaborating with department and grade-level teachers. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS include abiding by policies and regulations; attending meetings; protecting students and facilities; maintaining records; serving on committees; remaining current on instructional practices; and other duties as assigned.
