This position is for the 2026-27 School Year. Teacher - Science (Grades 6-8). QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Certified Exempt. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Participate in curriculum review and design. 2. Implement effective instructional strategies. 3. Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress. 4. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction. 5. Plan a program of study meeting individual needs. 6. Create a classroom conducive to learning. 7. Assess accomplishments and provide progress reports. 8. Refer students for alternative services as provided by the District. 9. Implement district initiatives. 10. Collaborate with department and grade level teachers. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Abide by policies; attend meetings; protect students and property; maintain records; serve on committees; remain current on instructional practices; other duties as assigned.
