This position is for the 2026-27 School Year. Teacher - Science (Grades 6-8). QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Certified Exempt. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Participate in curriculum review/design; implement effective instructional strategies; diagnose/evaluate student abilities and progress; monitor and adjust instruction; plan programs meeting individual needs; create a classroom environment conducive to learning; assess accomplishments and provide reports; refer students for alternative services; implement district initiatives; collaborate with department and grade level teachers. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Abide by policies; attend meetings; protect students/equipment; maintain records; serve on committees; remain current on instructional practices; other duties as assigned.
