This position is for the 2026-27 School Year. Teacher - Science (Grades 6-8). QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Certified Exempt. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include participating in curriculum review/design; implementing effective instructional strategies; diagnosing and evaluating student abilities and progress; monitoring progress and adjusting instruction; planning a program of study that meets individual needs; creating a classroom environment conducive to learning; assessing accomplishments and providing reports; referring students for alternative services; implementing district initiatives; and collaborating with department and grade level teachers. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS include abiding by policies; attending meetings; protecting students/equipment/facilities; maintaining records; serving on committees; remaining current on instructional practices; and other duties as assigned.
