Teacher - SPED Speech/Language Pathology 2026-27 School Year. FLSA: Exempt-Certified. REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education and Building Principal. QUALIFICATIONS: Current state teaching certificate in Special Education; Bachelor's degree; positive interpersonal and team-building skills; positive behavior management; knowledge of SPED process and laws; excellent organizational/oral/written/time management and telephone skills; computer and assistive technology skills desired. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervise the SPED process from screening through identification and IEP development; assist with IDEA implementation; supervise/coordinate SPED programs and diagnostic procedures; ensure completion of evaluation reports and IEPs; review IEP documents for compliance; screen transfer and new referrals; monitor evaluation timelines; facilitate integration into regular classes; collaborate with general education for co-teaching. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist Director with program components; prepare reports; provide/promote in-service training; attend meetings/trainings; maintain confidentiality; perform other duties as directed.
