Special Education Paraprofessional - Self Contained Elementary Classroom Assistant. The special education paraprofessional assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities, helps special needs students, and cares for their physical, emotional health and safety. Paraprofessional Certification Information: All Georgia paraprofessionals must hold a valid Paraprofessional Educator certificate (GaPSC). Certification can be completed within the first 30 days of employment.
