POSITION TITLE: Daycare Substitute. FLSA: Exempt. REPORTS TO: Daycare Director and Elementary Principal. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As Needed. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED; Experience working with children and parents from diverse backgrounds preferable; Applicants will complete an internal training module before their first substitute assignment. JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy; Maintain daily open communication with parents; Maintain confidentiality; Report any suspected abuse to supervisor; Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy; Maintain a safe and healthy environment, reporting any accidents; Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials, supplies or toys; Attend inservice and staff meetings; Keep all appropriate records; Meet all applicable licensing regulations; Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
