JOB DESCRIPTION: The special education paraprofessional assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities, helps special needs students, and cares for their physical, emotional health and safety, affirming their abilities. Paraprofessional Certification (GaPSC) required (can be completed within first 30 days). Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED and meet one of: 60 semester/90 quarter hours; associate’s or higher degree; or passed state paraprofessional assessment.
