This position is for the 2026-27 School Year. Teacher - JROTC Instructor. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The job of Teacher JROTC was established for the purpose(s) of facilitating student success in academic and interpersonal skills through JROTC and District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration. This position will be an 11-month employee, and compensation will be calculated using the JROTC Minimum Instructor Pay Formula (MIP). Requirements include certification by US Army Cadet Command, passing the GACE Literacy Assessment within the first three years, DD214, and minimum 10 years of service (or retired) with honorable discharge. Essential duties include serving as JROTC Department Head, planning for annual JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA), adapting classroom work, analyzing data, coordinating activities, counseling students, implementing curriculum, overseeing co-curricular activities, and related duties.
