This position is for the 2025-26 Remainder of the School Year. Teacher - Science (Grades 6-8). QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Certified Exempt. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include participating in curriculum review and design; implementing a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives; diagnosing and evaluating student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner; monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly; planning a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities; creating a classroom environment conducive to learning; assessing student accomplishments and providing reports; referring students for alternative services; effectively implementing district initiatives; and collaborating with department and grade level teachers. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS include abiding by policies and regulations; attending meetings; protecting students, equipment, materials, and facilities; maintaining accurate records; serving on committees; remaining current on instructional practices; and other duties as assigned.
