Elementary School PE Teacher 2025-26 School Year. QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper state certification. REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. FLSA: Exempt-Certified. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Plan, organize and deliver lessons consistent with the physical education curriculum (K–5); demonstrate leadership and communication skills; diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress; monitor progress and adjust instruction; plan a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities; create a classroom environment conducive to learning; assess accomplishments and provide progress reports; refer students for alternative services; implement district initiatives; collaborate with department and grade level teachers; certification in, or eligibility for, Health and Physical Education (K-5). OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS include abiding by policies and regulations; attending meetings; protecting students and facilities; maintaining accurate records; serving on committees; remaining current on instructional practices; and other duties as assigned.
