Teacher - SPED Speech/Language Pathology 2026-27 School Year. FLSA: Exempt-Certified. REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education and Building Principal. QUALIFICATIONS include a current state teaching certificate in Special Education, Bachelor’s degree, positive interpersonal and team-building skills, behavior management skills, knowledge of the Special Education process and laws, excellent organizational and communication skills, and computer/assistive technology skills. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include supervising special education processes from screening through identification and IEP development, assisting with IDEA implementation, coordinating programs and diagnostics, organizing evaluations and IEPs, ensuring compliance, screening transfer records, monitoring evaluations and timelines, facilitating integration into regular classes, collaborating with general education teachers, and supporting co-teaching. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS include assisting with program research, report preparation, in-service training, attending meetings and training, maintaining confidentiality, and other duties as assigned.
