Special Education Paraprofessional - Self-Contained Elementary Classroom Assistant. Assists teachers with daily classroom activities, supports special needs students, ensures physical/emotional safety, and affirms abilities. Georgia paraprofessional certification required (can be completed within first 30 days). Minimum HS diploma or GED plus federal requirements. Must meet one of: 60 semester/90 quarter hours, associate’s or higher degree, or passing a paraprofessional assessment (e.g., GACE).
