POSITION TITLE: Daycare Substitute. FLSA: Exempt. REPORTS TO: Daycare Director and Elementary Principal. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As Needed. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED; experience working with children and parents from diverse backgrounds preferable; completion of an internal training module before first assignment. JOB DESCRIPTION includes assisting staff with activities aligned to curriculum objectives and developmentally appropriate practice, maintaining open communication with parents, maintaining confidentiality, reporting suspected abuse, arranging the classroom environment per program goals, maintaining a safe and healthy environment and reporting accidents, inspecting and replacing materials, attending in-service and staff meetings, keeping appropriate records, meeting all applicable licensing regulations, and other duties as assigned.
