Teacher - SPED Speech/Language Pathology 2026-27 School Year. FLSA: Exempt-Certified. REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education and Building Principal. QUALIFICATIONS include a current state teaching certificate in Special Education, Bachelor’s degree, positive interpersonal and team-building skills, behavior management skills, knowledge of Special Education process and laws, excellent organizational/oral/written/time management/telephone skills, and computer/assistive technology skills. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include supervising the special education process from screening through identification and IEP development; assisting in IDEA implementation; coordinating programs and procedures; organizing and ensuring completion of evaluation reports and IEPs; reviewing IEP documents for compliance; initiating screening of records; monitoring evaluations and timelines; facilitating integration into regular classes; and collaborating with general education teachers. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS include assisting with research/implementation of programs, preparing reports, providing in-service training, attending meetings/training, maintaining confidentiality, and performing other duties as assigned.
