The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is seeking qualified applicants for the Part-Time Library Associate position in the Children's Outreach Department at the Columbus Public Library. This is a 19 hour per week position.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide engaging age-appropriate programming and services to young children and families in this diverse community. The successful candidate will also possess a passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to serving children, families, and caregivers in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of children’s literature and have a thorough understanding of child development. Applicants must have a record of being responsible and dependable; and be able to communicate effectively with supervisor, staff, and the public. Some nights and weekends are required.
Position requires: Excellent problem-solving skills; flexibility and versatility; strong technology skills, fantastic customer service skills; strong sense of responsibility; and ability to work independently and with a team.
All applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree.
Salary: $19.62 per hour
