Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications to determine machining parameters and set-up procedures
- Load raw materials, operate equipment (such as drill presses and turret lathes), and change collets, tool inserts, tool blocks, and tool holders
- Monitor machine controls and make program adjustments to reduce lead times and meet quality standards
- Check SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging, and measurements
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep accurate documentation and a clean, safe work area
- Adhere strictly to all safety and quality standards and cross-train across other stations and lines as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Skills: Computer literacy, understanding of basic programming concepts, strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), ability to read blueprints, read/write, perform fractional math calculations, and measure both linear and angular attributes

Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Schedule: 8-hour shift on concrete floors with occasional overtime required
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk on concrete surfaces for entire shifts; frequent lifting of up to 35 lbs and team-lifting up to 50 lbs; regular raising/lowering, upward pulling, handling, sizing, holding, grasping, turning, and working with hands
- Visual Attention: Heavy or constant visual attention required for precise machine operation and gauging
- Safety & PPE: Wear required PPE, including steel-toed safety shoes, at all times and follow safety procedures
