Job Details:

Mercer University School of Medicine is searching for a non-tenure track Clinical Faculty position. Rank to be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate. Full-time or Part-time availability.


Responsibilities:

Teaching: 50% of time

  • Participation in tutorial program for medical students

  • Mentor and advise students

  • Assists in the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based simulation learning experiences that promote the development of clinical reasoning and decision making.

  • Work with clinical, educational, and research faculty to design, implement, and evaluate educational curriculum in all aspects of undergraduate education

Clinical Duties: 50% of time

  • Clinical responsibility 2 days a week

  • Teaching and mentoring residents and/or students in a clinical setting.

Qualifications:

  • MD degree with residency

  • Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Family Medicine, Ob//Gyn, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry

  • Georgia medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Georgia

  • Prefer demonstrated experience in Standardized Patient Program and academic activities that facilitate the success of all students in simulated clinical experiences

  • Preference will be given to individuals with prior teaching experience, and a background in case-based and active learning methods in small and large group settings.

  • Rank will be determined by experience
